"I think because pad sounds kind of evolve, where in a transcendent experience there is a loss of time. When you hear a really good pad sound it takes you to a headspace where you're listening to something where it feels like it's freeform. Like an abstract painting, or a photograph where you can't tell necessarily what's in it, and you're not sure why you like these things. I think it all can connect to some sort of experience of feeling that you are without time or without objects. I think certain pad sounds can evoke certain colors... I've always thought that certain instruments or pad sounds can have certain colors or scenes that they play in my head."
